WALAN @ Supanova... 2 Days to go!

We've been gearing up for an awesome event in conjunction with the Supanova Pop Culture Expo, and now it's your turn to GET EXCITED!

First and foremost, our good friends at WALinerz will be bringing Counter-Strike: Source back to the LAN in style! The tournament kicks off at 3PM on Saturday, so be sure to be at the venue with your team and ready at 12PM sharp!

Additionally, this event also sees the first run of our latest improvement project - our brand new gigabit network! All seats at this event will be powered by our new network equipment at gigabit speeds.

Don't forget that everyone who attends the WALAN @ Supanova event is eligible for a two-day pass to the Supanova Expo for ONLY $20!


We've updated our website with all the information you'll need to get to the event and get gaming, including the final competition timetable, venue directions and more!

To those people who missed out on event registration - don't stress! Turn up on the door at midday on Saturday and we'll be happy to let you in. To ensure a smooth process, please ensure that you have registered an account on our ticketing system!


An important note to event patrons:
Your ticket includes usage of two electrically tested and tagged IEC "Kettle" leads. Please do not use additional outlets or plug in non-tested leads. If you have equipment that requires a non-IEC lead, please contact the events staff at the front desk before plugging in. Please do not remove these leads from the venue, as they remain the property of Western Australian Network Gaming Inc.

WALAN @ Supanova 2008!

Supanova is coming to Perth, and to celebrate WALAN will be holding a special 120 person LAN event!

Join us on the 28th and 29th of June at the Supanova expo for a weekend of gaming fun! As well as our usual roundup of public game servers at the event, we will be holding PC game tournaments and some console gaming fun! Held at the Claremont Showgrounds, the event will have free parking for LAN patrons throughout the event!

Registrations open this Friday the 13th of June! Tickets will set you back $30 both prepaid and on the door! Patrons who attend the event will also be eligible for a special two-day entry to the Supanova Expo for ONLY $20!

More information, including a finalised tournament timetable and tournament prizes will be made available via our website over the coming weeks.

For those who missed out on our premium airconditioned rooms; super-fast gigabit network; 24mbit internet connection; projectors; and plasma TV's - we'll be holding another event soon!

WALAN April 2008 - One day to go!

With only one day until our April 2008 event, it's time to start getting ready for a weekend of gaming fun!

The final prepayments have been processed and everyone on the prepaid list is guaranteed entry. Unfortunately due to high demand, all seats have been allocated so if you're not on the prepaid list, you will not be able to attend.

We'll be selling food and drinks throughout the event, as well as doing our legendary Pizza runs throughout the night! Combine this with the fully air conditioned venue, gigabit network, internet access and our exciting timetable - we're sure everyone's going to have a very special time!

WALAN April 2008

You've been asking us for details and here it is... our next event will see WALAN return to West Coast TAFE for the 19th and 20th April!

After our successful VIP event, once again you'll be able to enjoy air-conditioned rooms, comfortable chairs, full gigabit network and high-speed internet access! Gamers will be able to enjoy our premium gaming rooms, projectors in each room for console competitions (and practice for in between) along with our usual host of gaming competitions.

As usual, this event will only cost you $25 for our premium gaming event. Registrations are open NOW, so register and prepay now before you miss out!
